Phoolbagh Chaupati – My Experience At Gwalior’s Largest Street Food Hub

Phoolbagh Chaupati (Chowpati) is the most popular street food market in Gwalior city Madhya Pradesh. It is one of the oldest and largest street food hubs in Gwalior. Yesterday I visited Phoolbagh Chaupati with my friends to have some yummy snacks and mouth-watering fast foods.

There is one more reason why I visited Phoolbagh Chaupati yesterday, it was because the Chaupati has been recently renovated and got a new modern look along the lines of Indore’s famous 56 Dukan. So I and my friends visited the Chaupati to see its new look and enjoy some delicious dishes.

My Detailed Review of Phoolbagh Chaupati Gwalior MP

Gwalior Municipal Corporation (GMC) has recently renovated the oldest street food hub in Gwalior city. They gave it a modern look with better facilities. Earlier there were mostly wood carts/ push trolleys as shops selling various kinds of street foods.

But now the GMC has transformed the look of Phoolbagh Chaupati and provided well-arranged permanent shops to the retailers. Also now there are some of the basic facilities available like a hand-wash area, free clean drinking water, a sitting area, and many other facilities.

You will find a proper kitchen area in every shop, a compulsory dustbin outside every shop, and a fire extinguisher inside every shop in case of emergency. A parking facility is also provided by GMC which is situated just in front of the Chaupati premises.

You will find different types of snacks, fast foods, sweets, and drinks at Phoolbagh Chaupati to have and enjoy with family & friends. It is a great place to visit with family and friends but prefer to visit here in the evening time because most of the shops remain closed during the daytime.

Also during the daytime, the Phoolbagh Chaupati is very less crowded and there is almost no rush but in the evening time, you will feel like you come to a street food fair. What’s the fun of visiting an Indian street food market if there is no rush? However, if you want a less crowded place then you should visit these cafe-restaurants in Gwalior city.
