How To Reach the Taj Mahal From Agra Airport

Agra Airport is the nearest airport to the Taj Mahal. It is also known as Kheria Airport and is situated in Civil Air Terminal Kheria, Agra (UP). Agra Airport was originally a military airbase and is one of the largest airbases of the Indian Air Force. It also serves as a Public airport.

The travel distance from Agra airport to the Taj Mahal is around 9 kilometers, and it takes approximately 20 minutes to reach the Taj Mahal from the airport. The best way to reach the Taj Mahal from Agra airport is to go through mall road to the south gate and enter the Taj Mahal. It’s the shortest way to reach Tajmahal.

Make sure to pre-arrange a cab or taxi for pick up from the airport because it is hard to find any public transport at the airport. Also, it is more convenient to use the east gate as it is well-organized and less crowded.

How To Reach Taj Mahal From Agra Cantt Junction

Agra Cantt Junction is the main railway station serving Agra city. It is the nearest railway station to the Taj Mahal. Agra Cantt railway station is located around 6 to 7 kilometers from the Taj Mahal. The average travel time to reach the Taj Mahal from the Agra Cantt railway station is between 10 to 15 minutes.

If you are high on budget and are thinking about comfort and safety then you can simply book or hire a cab. It will cost you around INR 150-200. If you are medium on a budget then you can go via taxi/ auto from platform no.1 exit. The taxi & autorickshaws usually charge INR 40-50 per person.

If you are low on budget, then you should simply move out of the main gate of the station where day-to-day autorickshaws would be lined up and they would offer you a ride to the west gate of the Taj Mahal only for INR 20.

How To Reach Taj Mahal From Raja Ki Mandi Junction

Raja Ki Mandi railway station is the second nearest junction to the Taj Mahal after the Agra Cantt junction. The historical Taj Mahal is just 8 kilometers away from the Raja Ki Mandi railway station and it takes approximately 15 to 18 minutes to reach the Taj Mahal from here.

You can either book a cab online or hire a taxi from outside the railway station to go Taj Mahal. If you go via cab then it will be more comfortable & safe for you, and the travel fare will be around INR 150. But if you want to choose an affordable ride then you should go via auto or taxi. They will charge you around INR 40-50 per person.

How To Reach the Taj Mahal From Agra Fort

Reaching the Taj Mahal from Agra Fort is very easy because both monuments are situated near each other. The west gate of the Taj Mahal is just 2 kilometers away from the Agra Fort. But if you come through the east gate then the approximate distance of the Taj Mahal from Agra Fort will be 3 to 4 kilometers.

Although both the landmarks are situated just walking distance away from each other, still I suggest you to go via rickshaws and autorickshaws as they know the many shortcuts and will drop you at the destination in no time. Also, the travel fare is very cheap so you won’t mind traveling in one.

How To Reach Taj Mahal Agra From New Delhi

If you are searching for the best way to reach the Taj Mahal in Agra from New Delhi then there are a total of 4 ways and you can choose the best one according to your needs. Agra is well-connected to New Delhi via all means of transport like rail, road, and air.

If you want to go to Agra via air from New Delhi then there are 3 flights that operate in a week, between Delhi & Agra. It takes 3h 5m to reach Agra from Delhi. The travel time is more what takes on rail & road because there are no direct flights between Delhi & Agra, only connecting flights are available.

If you want to go by road then you will get to experience one of the best highways in India. Yamuna Expressway connects Agra city with New Delhi. It is the most recommended route to travel from Delhi to Agra. The road distance between Delhi & Agra is around 230 kilometers.
