Vrindavan is a holy town in the district Mathura of Uttar Pradesh. It is believed that God Shri Krishna spent his childhood here. As I am a big devotee of God Shri Krishna I often visited the place where he was born and spent his childhood. Near the Vrindavan is a small town named Barsana where the love of Shri Krishna lived, Goddess Radha Rani.
Here is my travel experience of Vrindavan’s famous Radha-Krishna temple – Prem Mandir. Prem Mandir is a temple dedicated to Shri Krishna and his lover, Goddess Radha Rani. Prem Mandir is also known as the Temple of Love. It is one of the most famous tourist places in Mathura-Vrindavan.

My Trip to Prem Mandir Vrindavan – The Temple of Love
The epic love story of Radhe-Krishna is known by all. There are many temples situated in the Mathura featuring the two epitomes of love, God Shri Krishna and Goddess Radha Rani. Prem Mandir Vrindavan is the best temple other than any temple in the town featuring Radhe-Krishna. And on my last visit to Mathura, I got the chance to visit this beautiful and amazing temple in Vrindavan.
Complete Address of Prem Mandir – Sri Kripalu Maharaj Ji Marg, Raman Reiti, Vrindavan, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.
Most of us know that the Taj Mahal is a symbol of love. But only some of us know that Prem Mandir is the Temple of Love. Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj constructed this temple as his gift of love for Vrindavan Dham. He also wants the younger generation to look at Prem Mandir as the symbol of true love.

Prem Mandir Vrindavan Architecture & Design
Prem Mandir is constructed entirely of Italian marble. The total dimensions of the temple including its flag are 125 ft. high and 190 ft. long and the 128 ft. wide raised platform serves as the seat of the two-storeyed white monument. The temple is surrounded by beautiful gardens and fountains and has life-size depictions of four Leelas of Shri Krishna- Jhulan Leela, Govardhan Leela, Raas Leela, and Kaliya Naag Leela.
The presiding deity at the temple is Shri Radha Govind (Radha Krishna) and Shri Sita Ram. A circumambulation route has been constructed on the temple courtyard, the platform of the temple, enabling visitors to view the 48 panels depicting the pastimes of Shri Radha Krishna which are carved on the outer walls of the temple. The walls are made of solid Italian marble, 3.25 ft. thick.
The thickness of the walls of the Garbha-Griha is 8 ft to bear the weight of the huge Shikhar, Swarna Kalash, and the Flag. 84 panels have also been set up on the temple’s exterior and display the loving pastimes of Shri Radha Krishna. Other than this, numerous portraits of Radha Krishna Leela, or the miracles of Lord Krishna, can also be found inside the temple.
At night, Prem Mandir looks more beautiful because of the amazing light works at the temple. On white Italian marble, the light seems like the stars in the sky. It is my first visit to Prem Mandir and I find it one of the best tourist places to visit in Vrindavan with family or friends.
So what are you waiting for? Pack your bags and leave to visit this marvelous temple of love in Vrindavan. But remember to stay safe from Covid-19. Carry all the essential things that are very important while traveling during Covid-19.
