A Road Trip From New Delhi to Jaipur by Car – All You Need to Know

Our road trip from Delhi to Jaipur was an unforgettable experience that we will cherish for a long time. The journey was smooth, and the views were breathtaking. We started our journey early in the morning from New Delhi. The scenery was beautiful, and the fresh air was a welcome break from the pollution of Delhi.

There are two main routes to reach Jaipur from Delhi. One is the NH48, which is the most popular route, and the other is the NH21. The NH48 route is around 270 kilometers and takes around 4 to 5 hours to reach Jaipur, while the NH21 route is around 320 kilometers and takes around 6 to 7 hours.

We took the NH48 route, which is a toll road. We paid the toll fee, and the journey was hassle-free. This route is popular among both locals and tourists alike and for a good reason. The route is well-maintained and passes through the beautiful Aravalli hills.

We made a stop at the famous Murthal dhabas, which are famous for their paranthas. We had a delicious breakfast and continued our journey towards Jaipur. On the way, we saw vast open fields, small villages, rugged mountains, and many roadside vendors selling fresh fruits and vegetables.

Jaipur is a city that is rich in history, culture, and architecture, and there’s so much to see and do. We passed through several small towns and villages, which gave us a glimpse into the rural life of Rajasthan. We also saw vast fields of mustard and wheat, which are the primary crops grown in the region.

When we reached Jaipur, the first thing we noticed is the beautiful pink buildings. The city will leave you mesmerized with its stunning architecture, beautiful markets, and warm hospitality. We could see the city’s iconic forts and palaces in the distance.

We started our sightseeing tour in Jaipur with the Hawa Mahal. It is an iconic structure, also known as the Palace of Winds. It is a beautiful palace with intricate designs and hundreds of windows. It was fascinating to see how the Hawa Mahal was designed for the royal women to observe the street festivals without being seen.

After that, we headed to the Amer Fort, which is located around 9 kilometers from the Hawa Mahal. The fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Jaipur. We opted for the elephant ride, which was a unique experience in itself.

Then we went to the Nahargarh Fort in Jaipur. It is a magnificent fort located on a hill. We took a guided tour of the fort, which helped us understand the fort’s history and significance. The view of the Jaipur city from the Nahargarh Fort was breathtaking.

Our final stop was the Jal Mahal. It is a beautiful palace located in the middle of a lake. We took a boat ride to the palace and enjoyed the stunning views of the palace and the lake.

In the evening, we visited the local markets to shop for some souvenirs. Jaipur is known for its textiles, jewelry, and handicrafts, and we found some beautiful pieces to take back home.
