How To Reach Saas Bahu Mandir Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh
Sas-Bahu Temple is located on the eastern side of the majestic fort of Gwalior. The temple is situated near the Gwalior Fort on the same hilltop of the Gwalior Fort. It is very easy to reach Sasbahu Temple in Gwalior city because the temple location is so prime and well connected to all the other parts of the city. To reach the Sasbahu temple one has to go to the Gwalior Fort first. Because the temple is situated near the fort and also the entry ticket to the temple can only book on the premises of Gwalior Fort.

*More time is taken via Qila Gate despite the distance being less than the Urvai Gate is because you can’t take your vehicle to the hilltop of the fort via Qila Gate and have to walk the fort hill till you reach the temple.

Now suppose that you are at Gwalior railway station and you want to go to Sasbahu Temple then there are two ways to reach the temple. They are –
Via Qila Gate – The Qila Gate is the nearest entrance to the Gwalior Fort. But this route will take more time because from the Qila gate entrance you have to walk to the hilltop of the Gwalior Fort and then walk some more to reach the Sasbahu temple. This route will take approximately 30 minutes to reach the Sasbahu Mandir from the Gwalior Railway station.
Via Urvai Gate – Urvai Gate route is the best way to reach the Sasbahu Temple from the Gwalior Railway station. From the Urvai Gate entrance, you can reach the hilltop of the historical fort with your vehicle. To reach the Urvai Gate entrance you have to come to Bahodapur tiraha via Shinde ki Chhawani from Gwalior Railway station and then go to Anand Nagar road till you reach the Urvai Gate tiraha.
You can easily book a cab or auto and leave for the temple from the railway station. The cab driver will charge you around Rs. 100 to 150/- for the Sasbahu Temple from the Gwalior railway station and the travel time should be between 15 to 20 minutes.
As a Gwaliorite I suggest you choose the Urvai Gate route to reach the Sasbahu Temple because it is the most comfortable route and also the outskirts of the Urvai Gate route are so beautiful. From Gwalior railway station it will take approx 15-20 minutes to reach the Sasbahu Mandir via Urvai Gate.
