1. Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal was originally named Rauza-i-munawwara, which means the Crown of the Palace. It is situated on the southern bank of the river Yamuna in Agra city, Uttar Pradesh.
Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum made by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan between the years 1632-1653 in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Taj Mahal houses the tomb of Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in India and the best place to visit in Agra.
