The government of India, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has announced a very important and mandatory guideline for passengers traveling internationally through Air India. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Air India is all set to change some of its rules and regulations regarding international travel.
The government has announced guidelines for international arrivals and departures. Whether you are flying abroad from India or flying back to India, you have to comply with the new rules and regulations of Air India. You have to understand that if failure to comply with the government regulations shall result in denied boarding.
Air India’s Latest Rules For International Travel
Now it is mandatory to carry a Negative RT-PCR Test Report with a QR code for international travel from India. Effective from 22 May 2021, passengers boarding international flights from India should ensure that the test report has a QR code linking to the original report. This is applicable only to those passengers who are required to carry a negative RT-PCR test report as per the guidelines/ requirements issued by the destination countries. Passengers are allowed to board international flights only if they carry a negative RT-PCR test report with a QR code after 22 May 2021. It is also mandatory for all passengers to wear a face mask properly at all times during air travel.
